GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Coming off back-to-back losing seasons, Florida coach Billy Napier needed to make changes. Napier hired a “head coach of the defense,” an “expert in the special teams space” and a new strength and conditioning coordinator during the past two months. Napier and the Gators are counting on all the new faces making a huge difference this fall. Napier could give up play-calling duties for the first time in seven seasons as a head coach. His offense was inconsistent, his defense was historically woeful and his special teams units provided more head-scratching moments than game-changing momentum.

Judge Kaplan and Roberta Kaplan (the two are not related) overlapped for about two years in the early 1990s at the Paul, Weiss firm when he was a senior partner and she was a junior associate. Judge Kaplan left the high-profile firm in 1994 when he was nominated to the Southern District of New York where he’s been a sitting federal judge since. In fact, I remember no direct interaction from that time period with Your Honor at all,” Roberta Kaplan wrote in her letter Tuesday addressing the judge. Their interactions have been limited to E Jean Carroll’s litigation against Trump and one other case he presided over, according to Roberta Kaplan. Carroll’s lawyer also said she wanted to respond to the allegations quickly but reserves her right to seek sanctions against Trump’s attorneys.

"During that relatively brief period more than thirty years ago, I do remember the Paul, Weiss partners with whom I worked and none of them are Your Honor." Roberta Kaplan wrote in her Tuesday letter that she has no memory of ever interacting with the judge while he was at Paul, Weiss. Roberta Kaplan also wrote that she may seek sanctions against Habba for the false accusation. Habba is already a member of a long list of Trump lawyers to be sanctioned for pushing false claims in a courtroom.

E. Jean Carroll's lawyer on Tuesday rebutted a claim that she was mentored by the judge who oversaw the rape defamation trial of Donald Trump, and said there is "no basis' to toss the recent $83.3 million verdict against the former president in Carroll's favor. Roberta Kaplan joined the firm in October 1992 and Lewis Kaplan left Paul, Weiss in August 1994 upon his confirmation as judge. Roberta Kaplan also told the judge in a letter that she reserved the right to "seek sanctions" against Habba for making "false and vexatious claims." As in the second trial, Roberta Kaplan represented Carroll and Judge Kaplan presided over the case. "We believe, and will argue on appeal, that the Court was overtly hostile towards defense counsel and President Trump, and displayed preferential treatment towards Plaintiff's counsel," Habba wrote.

CEO Bob Iger suggested as early as March that the company should decrease the number of sequel films Marvel releases in favor of bringing newer characters and stories into the mix. Box office analysts aren't ready to wave the white flag on the MCU, which has left rival DC, owned by Warner Bros. The promise was that the events of the shows would come full circle and influence the content of Marvel's films. Brie Larson stars as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel in Disney and Marvel's "The Marvels." It is expected that this Deadpool film will follow carry an R rating, which would be a first for a Marvel Cinematic Universe feature.

I've had the opportunity to mentor several people during my 20-year career in tech as a senior leader at companies like Amazon and eBay. To start your mentorship off right, come prepared with specific, time-based goals for what you'd like to accomplish. Without knowing why you want a promotion, what the promotion duties look like, and when you want to achieve a promotion, your mentor won't be able to give the specific feedback you need. Without this practice, not only will you not make progress, but you'll end up re-hashing the same conversation from the previous meeting. This will be a waste of time for you and your mentor and quickly result in a frustrating and unsuccessful mentorship.

The New Theatre not only gave the refugee actors a chance to perform but also helped them with accommodation and visas. "Poland is the only country where Belarusians can easily legalise their stay... Throughout my 21-year career, I've heard a variety of advice including:It's on me, the employee, to seek career opportunities (which, when I was 25, was confusing). When feeling like I was spinning my wheels, seek advice (which made more sense, but I didn't know who to talk to). Plus, career advice is never one-size-fits-all. If you're at a crossroads, here are four tips that might help you as you decide whether having a mentor is right for you. I also reserve mornings — the time when I'm most focused and creative — for tasks that require deep concentration and decision making. I implement two-way-door decision makingThis approach is a staple of how I think and approach decision making. It allows me and my team to move quickly throughout the day, maximizing high-velocity decision making. Here's how it works: I always assess whether a decision I'm making is irreversible — a "one-way door" decision that can't be walked back. Jeff Bezos used to say that around 90% of decisions we make are two-way door decisions, and that not treating two-way door decisions like one-way door decisions is the key to unlocking speed.

Increasing Law Department Diversity

Create a law department DEI committee consisting of diverse law department employees to:evaluate the law department’s DEI status; develop a plan and a budget to increase or maintain law department diversity; and monitor and promote the success of the law department’s DEI initiatives. Incentivize law department employees to refer diverse candidates for job openings by paying them a referral bonus if the law department hires those candidates. Retaining Diverse Law Department EmployeesWhile recruiting and hiring diverse employees for the law department requires continuous effort, retaining them once hired presents another challenge. Discuss initiatives the law department has taken to increase and maintain DEI in the law department, such as creating a DEI hiring committee. (For more on how law departments can improve DEI at their outside law firms, see Increasing Law Firm Diversity and Increasing Law Firm Diversity: Presentation Materials on Practical Law; for general guidance on working with outside counsel, see Working Effectively with Outside Counsel Checklist on Practical Law.)

With these documents, Harris coached Mathis through the values-creation process, where the two determined the ethos of Mathis' business based on her personal values and priorities. The problem with ‘Black trauma porn’“Black trauma porn” – much like “disaster porn” or “poverty porn” – generally refers to graphic depictions of violence against Black people that are intended to elicit strong emotional responses. The implication is that these images can be needlessly traumatizing to Black viewers for whom violence is an inescapable fact of life. “There’s a difference between telling a story of Black trauma and telling a story that is ‘Black trauma porn.’”How Till avoids the trap of ‘trauma porn’What, then, is the line between a story of Black trauma and “Black trauma porn?”For Young, the distinguishing factor is context. Put bluntly, is that depiction of Black trauma intended to appeal to the sympathies of White people? It’s notable that many of the recent projects deemed to be “Black trauma porn” have been the work of Black creatives – an obvious reminder that Black people are not a monolith.
